Apple Pie Filling: You can find canned fruit filling in virtually any grocery store, and it’s so convenient. All you have to do is open the can, and it’s ready to use! If you don’t want apple, you can use any other flavor of prepared fruit pie filling—cherry or blueberry would be delicious. And if you’re in a pinch, you could use a scoop of jam in each cinnamon roll pie cup instead!

How to Make 2-Ingredient Apple Pie Cups

These apple pie cups are almost too easy! Here’s a quick overview of what to do. Then, check out the full recipe below.

1. Prep the Pie “Crust”

Spray your muffin pan with a little cooking spray so the cups release easily. Then, separate the cinnamon roll dough, and gently press each roll into the bottom and up the sides of the muffin cups, forming little dough “cups” to hold all that yummy pie filling.

2. Add the Filling

Scoop a generous 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling into each dough-lined cup, being careful not to overfill. If the pieces of apple aren’t already diced up, we’d recommend cutting them into smaller pieces so you can get more fruit in each cup.

3. Bake

Pop the muffin pan in the oven, and bake until the cinnamon roll dough is golden brown and puffy and the filling is slightly bubbly.

4. Add Icing and Enjoy

While the cups cool, microwave the icing for a few seconds until it’s soft enough to drizzle. Then, spoon it over each warm apple pie cup. Serve immediately and watch them disappear; these are best enjoyed fresh and warm!

Storing and Reheating 2-Ingredient Apple Pie Cups
